Firearms Safety Course Tomorrow
FIREARMS SAFETY COURSE TOMORROW
(Etowah County, Alabama) The Etowah County Sheriff’s Office will offer a citizen’s firearms safety course tomorrow, according to Sheriff Todd Entrekin.
The course is offered free to the public and is held at the Joe Ford Center on the campus of Gadsden State Community College from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Eighty seats are available for the class and registration is required.
Since February 19, six courses have been completed by more than 335 citizens.
“We are pleased that so many people are interested in learning how to safely use their firearms,” says Sheriff Entrekin. “Our firearms instructors do a great job teaching the public the responsibilities of ownership and use of a firearm in Alabama.”
Those who finished the classroom portion are given the option to attend a range day on Saturday, May 11, to receive one-on-one help from Sheriff’s Office firearms instructors. The range day is held at the Owls Hollow Shooting Range.
The Owls Hollow Shooting Range is operated by the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources and maintained by the Etowah County Sheriff’s Office. The range is open to the public daily from dawn to dusk.
