Jonathan Lynn Thrasher, 29, of Dawson, Alabama, has been arrested and charged with several theft related offenses.
“Thrasher is charged with three counts of third degree burglary, one count of breaking and entering a vehicle, two counts of second degree theft of property and one count of first degree theft of property, all are felonies and one count of third degree theft of property, which is a misdemeanor,” states Investigator Josh Morgan.
On the morning of Thursday, November 8, Sardis Police Chief James Harp received a phone call reporting a possible burglary in process at a residence on Crosley Lane.
When officers arrived at the residence they found the door kicked in and a white male inside the house.
The suspect attempted to elude law enforcement by leaving in a vehicle. Officers pursued Thrasher on a short chase. He eventually abandoned the vehicle and ran into the woods. A state issued ID card, issued to Thrasher, was found in the abandoned vehicle.
Stolen property, from three residences in the Smith Institute community of Sardis City, was found in the vehicle.
Thrasher was arrested on the warrants last night by Albertville Police Department.
Thrasher is currently being held in the Etowah County Detention Center on $21,000 bond.
