(Etowah County, Alabama), According to Sheriff Jonathon Horton 3 men were arrested on Possession of Child Pornography on Thursday September 22, 2022 from the result of a round up. 

 

Etowah County, Leesburg, and Cedar Bluff, Rainbow City Investigators which are on the State of Alabama Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC) performed a round up and search warrants of 3 different homes and suspects on September 22, 2022. 

 

Logan Lee Jolley, 25 of Gadsden was arrested and charged with 11 counts of  Possession of Child pornography and Dissemination of obscene matter. Several devices were searched during the search warrant with only his phone being taken. Jolley admitted to receiving and sending child pornography.  Jolley is being held on a $270,000 cash bond.

 

Christopher Jay Dowdy, 55 of Gadsden was arrested and charged with 10 counts of Possession of Child Pornography. Several devices were taken from his residence with the possibility of child pornography.  Dowdy is being held on a $200,000 cash bond.

 

Bruce Alan Mize, 18 of Stevenson Al, was arrested and charged with 11 counts of Possession of Child Pornography. Mize admitted to downloading, sending, and selling child pornography on the internet. Mize is being held on a $220,000 property bond. 

 

Jolley, Dowdy, and Mize have the same bond conditions which consist of no internet, smart phones, no contact with anyone under 18 years old, and to be supervised by Etowah County Community Corrections once released. There will possibly be more charges on all 3 suspects.
