Theft of Property Arrest

(Etowah County, AL) Two Attalla men were arrested for breaking and entering a vehicle, and theft of property, according to Sheriff Jonathon Horton.

Allen Deal (48) and Jerad Gibbs (26) are charged with unlawful breaking and entering a vehicle, and theft of property 2nd, which are both felonies, according to Investigator Wesley Smith. The arrest of both subjects is in connection with a theft that occurred at a water authority in the month of May, 2023. Several tools were taken from the water authority.

Investigators developed suspects and obtained a search warrant for a residence in Gadsden City Limits. Etowah County Investigators and Gadsden Police detectives executed the search warrant and all property was recovered and returned to the water authority, states Smith.

Both subjects are currently incarcerated in the Etowah County Detention Center with bonds totaling $5,000.00 each from the crimes committed at the water authority.
