Burglary and Theft Arrest

(Etowah County, AL) A Gadsden man was arrested for burglary and theft of property, according to Sheriff Jonathon Horton.

Jonathon Dakota Winfrey (29), of Gadsden, is charged with burglary 3rd, and theft of property 1st, which are both felonies, according to Investigator Wesley Smith. The arrest of Winfrey is in connection with a burglary that occurred at a house on Burgess Rd near Attalla, AL around the beginning of the month of October, 2022.

Several thousand dollars worth of items including a vehicle were taken from the residence. The property has been recovered and returned to the owner, Smith said.

Winfrey is currently incarcerated in the Etowah County Detention Center with bonds totaling $7,500.00.
