DRUG ARREST

(Etowah County, Alabama) One individual has been arrested with drug charges in Etowah County, according to Sheriff Jonathon Horton. 

WESLEY LEE QUARLES (35) of GADSDEN, Al is charged with TWO (2) counts of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (Ambien).    

Agents with the Etowah County Drug Enforcement Unit served an arrest warrant on Wesley Lee Quarles at his residence located in the Whorton Bend community.  During the course of the arrest additional Medication was recovered that had been obtained fraudulently.  The arrest followed an investigation by the Etowah County Drug Enforcement Unit into his fraudulent activities involving the acquisition of prescription scheduled narcotics.  

WESLEY LEE QUARLES was arrested and is on a $16,500.00 property bond.

This investigation is still ongoing and there could be more State and Federal charges related to this case.
